Describing Confuse The Cat as a rockband is the same thing as calling a fart a lost cough. It would be better to address this Belgian guitar band, arisen from the remainders of cult band Reiziger, as a postpunk band with a steady pumping dance edge. The melting guitars, the propulsive disco beats and the synth hooks remind of the gang of pure Eighties bands as ‘The Chameleons’, ‘The Sound’, ‘New Order’ and ‘Sonic Youth’. A British journalist described their sound as ‘early U2’.
